Lauren- Class of 2011- San Angelo Senior Photographer

I am so excited to post this blog. Lauren and her most awesome Grandfather and I spent last Monday afternoon all over downtown to some spots she had picked for her senior pictures. We had a great time and luckily we got her session in just before the "deep freeze"!! By looking at these pics you could hardly tell that the very next day the temps would be in the twenties. Lauren is a beautiful both inside and out. She had some ideas of what she wanted to do for her session and was so much fun to work with. I love how these capture her personality. Here are some faves from our session.......

My First Post-Surgery Session- Brittany- San Angelo Portrait Photographer

I was so relieved and thankful that my little shoulder surgery turned out to be minor and other than a some pain at night and the need for a few more weeks of rehab, I am back to doing what I love- taking pictures. This time of the year is really slow and I'm glad as I've had time to recover, get organized(somewhat), and learn the very basics of Photoshop CS5 on my new Macbook Pro. Thanks to my dear friend and fellow photog Kit Womble for making the trip from Sweetwater to give me a lesson.
I have gotten one session complete and WOW!!!! Check out this beauty. Brittany graduated last year with my son Mason and is off to college at Texas Tech. She contacted me when she was home for the holidays and needed a photo session of pictures to use for pledging a sorority this spring. I was so glad I was recovered enough to get it done before she went back to school. We met in San Angelo and went to some of my favorite places. I am so excited about how these turned out. She is not only beautiful, but smart as well. I know she is going to have an awesome future. Thanks, Brittany, I enjoyed spending the afternoon with you.

Check out her car!!! How sweet is that!!!

My Last Post for the Year- Blessed

Yes, I am blessed. I have a wonderful family, good health, a job I love going to every day, and a growing business that has allowed me to meet and get to know some of the most awesome people. I want to thank everyone who has allowed me to be a part of helping their family make and preserve special memories. I enjoyed each and every one of my sessions and cherished every moment. Life is short, kids grow so fast, and before you know it you are watching them graduate and enter a new chapter in their lives. Capture those memories while you can and keep capturing them even when they have kids of their own. Don't wait until you lose weight or until you can make the time. Life's memories are too sweet and precious.
I'll be off the camera for a few weeks as I am having a little shoulder surgery tomorrow. I'll close my last blog-post for a while by posting a few of my faves from recent sessions.
I hope you all have a blessed Christmas and that 2011 brings you many special memories.

My Wonderful Family- This Year's Christmas Card Picture

Wow! Getting a family picture for Christmas cards when your kids get older can be a challenge, but not a challenge I was willing to give up on. With careful planning we were all able to get together and even got our little dog Shadow cleaned up for the picture. My good friend and fellow photog, Kit of Kit Womble Photography made the trip from Sweetwater to hang out and take our picture. I love this one and plan to have a canvas made for my wall. It was great seeing Kit and having a few hours of fun family time. Time flies and I can't believe my boys are this grown-up. I still plan to make time for yearly family photos no matter how old they get (or how much we age!!).

Taylor Family- San Angelo Area Family Photographer

I was pretty excited when Angela asked me to take their family photos this year. I've known Angela and the kids for a while now, but never met her husband Corey. He was a great sport about spending Sunday afternoon taking family pictures.  The kids were awesome. I know the boys really like being outside and camping so I wasn't surprised when they found the tree to climb. Miss Abbey was so sweet and great at posing for me. I had never been to the top of the railroad track so that was quite an adventure. I hope they had as much fun as I did. Here are some of my faves from the Taylors.

DeRusso Family- San Angelo Area Family Photographer

I was very humbled when I was asked to donate to the PTO for their annual carnival and fundraiser. I was really blown away when my donation of a session and cd with copy-right release was used for a raffle ticket prize. Still being so new to the business I get nervous about my work and want to make sure I always do my best for my clients. Since the kids really rocked and sold over 16,000 tickets with some really fabulous prizes, I couldn't wait to see who won my session. Was I ever excited to find out it was a family I already new (sort-of). Dave, Michele, and the very adorable 7 year old Andraya were a blast to work with. We explored all over their beautiful place on the river and I fell in love with the beauty of it all- the family, their land, and the wonderful evening. Here are some of my faves from the DeRussos.
